Maritime Security Alliance

The maritime security alliance offers the service of one contact for an integrated solution to prevent ships against piracy. Several companies have bundled their expertise to build the best accumulated defense in the layered-defense system. The alliance members combine passive self-defense (PSD's) techniques and services. Passive self-defense mechanisms do not require resources or seafarers involvement when operational and allow time for the crew to muster for withdraw to citadel. The alliance member toolbox currently embeds: detection equipment, avoidance strategies, anti-boarding equipment, tools for obstruction of movement on deck and already applied citadel strategy building and implementation. Further development of the toolbox due to ever changing circumstances continuously improves the maritime self-protection and ultimately improve long-term maritime self-protection. Safety and emergency procedures are adopted in the revised vessel specific strategies.
