Maritime Search and Rescue Council

The Maritime Search and Rescue Council is an international maritime search and rescue (SAR) professional body promoting SAR training, research, progress and expertise around the world. We are a global network of professionals, volunteers, and organisations who share a common vision for ensuring the safety of those who operate in and around the world's oceans. We believe that by working together and sharing our knowledge and expertise, we can make a real difference in saving lives at sea. Through our various initiatives, including SAR professional's recognition, training programs, research projects, continued professional development and advocacy efforts, we strive to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of search and rescue operations, as well as to promote public awareness of the importance of maritime safety and search and rescue.
