Markato-Law is a young and succesful "boutique lawfirm" in the centre of Leuven. The founding mother, Katleen Tobback, has been a lawyer for more than 10 years in Brussels “magic circle” firms, followed by a ten year partnership in a middle-sized lawfirm in Leuven. In 2021 she founded Markato-Law. Markato-Law is active in the construction and real estate sector for all parties that may be involved in construction projects. Clients and contractors of public procurement contracts can also turn to us if they run into difficulties during the execution of their public procurement contracts. Other companies from all kinds of sectors (such as services, industry, social profit, etc.) also find their way to our office. Many of the files we handle are litigation files, involving a variety of branches of law (construction and real estate law, contract law, public procurement, corporate law, etc.). Our team can rightly call itself an expert team, thanks to our daily in-depth training. We love the law, we love the stories behind the cases, we love the people the stories are about. We love an intellectual challenge. We are analytical and pragmatic. We are ambitious and strive for the highest quality in our services. However, we remain very approachable and accessible; we have our feet firmly on the ground and are straightforward.
