ScottishPower and Shell have joined forces to develop the proposed MarramWind floating offshore windfarm.
Located 75 kilometres off the north-east coast of Scotland, in water depths averaging 100 metres, the proposed MarramWind floating offshore windfarm has the potential deliver up to 3 gigawatts (GW) of cleaner renewable energy. That’s enough electricity to power the equivalent of more than 3.5 million homes.
The MarramWind joint venture is dedicated to helping Scotland and the UK meet its ambitious net-zero targets, and to maximise benefits to Scotland’s economy and communities.
