About Martian Subsurface Analysis Team
The RASC-AL Special Edition: Moon to Mars Ice & Prospecting Challenge is a competition where teams build hardware that competes to extract the most water from an analog environment simulating a slice of a combined lunar and Martian surface, while simultaneously using system telemetry to distinguish between overburden layers and create a digital core of the various layers. The Martian Subsurface Analysis Team at Virginia Tech participates in this competition annually. Virginia Tech's Aqua Recirculating Integrated Upheaval System (AQUARIUS) team was in the top 10 teams selected nationwide and will be participating in the competition in late August. https://www.nasa.gov/press-release/langley/the-sky-is-no-longer-the-limit-for-10-university-teams-selected-to-compete-in-nasa
