Terry Martin started Martin-Young in 2015 after leaving 10 years at Diamond Amplification. While Diamond built predominately 100watt heads, leaning towards heavy rock & metal genres, Terry saw a trend in the industry towards lower wattage amps retaining the same great sound and tone of the big boys. The result is a product line that is more usable, gig-able, and sensible. Our combo amps are vintage based in the vein of the early British amp designs with modern updates to make it more playable and gig-able. Larger transformers and a more capable power supply provide for an effortless musical experience. We point-to-point wire every amp for durability, and use only the finest electrical components. Every part of our amp is built with overkilling attention to detail, resulting in a simply better sounding, better playing amp. Our customers know this. Our Combo Amps are based on vintage tweed amplifiers of the Fender 60's era, but are meticulously modded with modern components and larger output transformers for a much more modern gain structure.
