Marubeni has been expanding its business by always staying one step ahead of the times and challenging new business fields. Our strength lies in the knowledge we have gained through these businesses, the trust we have built with our business partners, and our extensive global network. We will support start-up companies by making the most of these strengths. As our goal is to create the next generation of businesses, we do not limit ourselves to certain industries in which we invest. Our policy is to actively invest in start-up companies that are operating in business areas that Marubeni has not previously covered, in other words, in what we call “white spaces”. Among them, we will focus on start-up companies from around the world, especially those involved in next-generation consumer services. We hope that Marubeni’s assets will help accelerate the expansion of start-up companies that have excellent business models and technological capabilities.
