MAS ETH in Applied Technology

The Master of Advanced Studies ETH in Applied Technology (MAS AT) empowers participants to UNCOVER a NEW DIMENSION to their CAREERS. In the programme, business professionals acquire new strategic insights into latest technologies, as well as valuable innovation skills. TARGET PARTICIPANTS The MAS AT is designed for business professionals with limited or no degree in technology, for example those with university degrees in Economics, Business, Marketing, Human Resources, Law, etc. UNDERSTANDING TECHNOLOGY OPENS NEW OPPORTUNITIES The business leaders of the future must demonstrate both technology and business skills. By attending the MAS AT programme, business professionals will be better equipped to strengthen or expand their leading roles in their organizations. The ability to take decisions involving technology, more efficient collaborations in cross-functional teams, driving innovation are some of the benefits gained from the programme. PROGRAMME The two-year, part-time MAS degree programme has a modular structure consisting of multiple Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) programmes, Each CAS can also be attended individually (CAS diploma). The first year consists of fundamental training in key applied technologies: information technology, manufacturing & materials, electronics & semiconductors, or energy. In addition to explaining the fundamentals of each technology, current use cases across many industries are also included. The second year shifts the focus to developing the innovation and technology skills that will enable participants to initiate and lead change in companies through applied technology. For a Master’s degree, participants must complete at least three CAS programmes, an experimental project and a written Master’s thesis under the supervision of an ETH professor. APPLICATION DEADLINE Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Applications submitted before 31 May have priority for admission.
