We are a core Cat® dealership and one of the leading suppliers of products and services in the construction, marine and energy, industrial and commercial, automotive and agricultural sectors of Trinidad & Tobago. In 1928, Massy Limited acquired the sole authorized dealership for Caterpillar, becoming one of the first dealers in the western hemisphere. The company went through a number of name changes over the years before it became Massy Machinery Ltd. in 2014, trading under the name Massy Cat. Massy Cat prides itself on setting the highest standards for all the brands that we carry by having extensive and professional product support. Enhancing product value and reducing downtime are two of the key priorities of our company. To demonstrate this commitment to these priorities, Massy Cat has a computerized inventory system, 40,000 sq. ft. of warehousing space, over 30,000 different part items, as well as a comprehensive customer representative team and service staff trained in the latest techniques to ensure that customers’ needs are dealt with effectively and efficiently. Our Sales Representatives must undergo the intensive and extensive Caterpillar Certified Sales Professional training at 3 levels: Foundation (2 years), Intermediate (1 year) and Expert (4 years), while all Service Technicians are certified and trained in the full range of Cat products. Training is then continued as new technological advancements are introduced. Massy Cat, like our entrepreneurial predecessors, continues to build on our reputation as a leader in supplying new and innovative products and services to Trinidad & Tobago. The company added to the original Cat brand to provide a wider range of products and services to be the partners of choice for our customers. We expanded into the related business activities of agricultural equipment, automotive lubricants and equipment rentals to successfully satisfy customers’ needs.
