The company was founded in 2011 by Elizabeth Chabner Thompson, MD, MPH, a New York Radiation Oncologist and former breast surgery patient who observed both personally and professionally the acute need for a comprehensive line of well-designed, high-quality products that would improve the patient experience before, during and after surgery and other treatment for cancer, and other surgeries and conditions. The company’s first product was the Breast Bag, a care bag containing recovery supplies, comfort items and hygiene products in a reusable designer duffel bag that could be sent to a woman facing breast cancer (mastectomy) surgery by a caring friend. Soon hospitals began to take notice, and now give bags to their patients. The surgical and recovery bra line, has proven to have an innovative and revolutionary recovery bra: the Elizabeth Pink Surgical Bra®. The division of ChabnerXRT® will soon launch it's first FDA 510k cleared, patented Radiation Treatment Bra for support both in the supine and prone positions for treatment of breast cancer.
