MAT2 Apprenticeship Program

MAT² – the Michigan Advanced Technician Training Program – is an innovative, industry-driven approach to education, which addresses two critical issues facing the manufacturing and technology industries: a widening skills gap and an aging workforce. This is an apprenticeship program where students alternate between classroom instruction and on-the-job training. MAT² apprentices earn a debt-free associate degree AND gain the necessary hands-on skills and real-world experience for them to become sought-after employees. This page is managed by the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest, Inc, as part of its activities to support the Michigan Talent Investment Agency (TIA) with the program management of MAT².
