Matanataki, a woman-founded business development and investment management company based in Fiji. Matanataki Pte Ltd has been operating in Fiji since 2017, working closely with many partners. Our team and the businesses we support are connected by a collective vision: to ensure abundant and respected Pacific Islands through entrepreneurship. We will achieve this through gender equity, good planning, sound investment and solesolevaki (collective work), with the coral reefs as our guiding star to indicate climate resilience and the health of the whole. Building on 5 years of deal flow development and direct investments, as of 2024 Matanataki is raising its first climate resilience impact fund to deliver long term risk capital and hands on active ownership to reef-positive and gender equitable SMEs across waste management, fisheries, agriculture and tourism in the Pacific. Leveraging the team’s local and international experience as business operators and regenerative systems practitioners, the goal is to accelerate the region’s transition to regenerative production and to build local economies that respect and restore Pacific reefs, oceans and people.
