Matilda is a brand that exclusively develops headpieces.
We are inspired by the sustainable and “slow-fashion”
movements. Our production is 100% artesenal and based on techniques used in traditional hat making millinery.
We believe that headpieces have the instant power to raise our self-esteem and boost our confidence! Our mission is to provide this sensation to women in all sorts of situations: whether simply a “bad hair day” or even in cases of hair loss.
By purchasing a Matilda headpiece you are supporting a social impact brand because our objective is not only to empower the women who wear our pieces but the artesans who make them! Our accessories are made by seamstresses and informal artesans who come from low-income or vulnerable backgrounds. We train these women so that they may work from home and gain
financial independance.
Our production occurs in our ateliês in the city of São Paulo and in the interior of the state. Being a small local brand means that we produce only what is necessary and avoid wasting materials, energy and transportation.
