MatiPay

MatiPay is the fintech company belonging to Angel Company. In 2019 MatiPay received the CES Innovation Award 2019 at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in the payment platforms category. In the same year Intesa Sanpaolo believed in the project and decided to support MatiPay’s international growth with a minority stake. Today MatiPay operates in Italy and in other 10 European countries with more than 59,000 connected sales points and a community of 800,000+ consumers. MatiPay developed an innovative mobile payment and telemetry system and transforms the automated, manned or unmanned, points of sales in connected and smart ones, offering the best payment experience. The MatiPay app allows the consumers to buy products in a simple way by using a virtual wallet in app that can be recharged with credit cards, PayPal, cash or directly with NFC contactless devices. Consumers can also exchange money between friends, collect points thanks to the loyalty program, evaluate the experience etc. The telemetry system allows the operator to receive all the sales data in real time from each point of sale, launch marketing campaigns and monitor performances from remote. The operator can update prices, configurations and collect data on all products sold and methods of purchase. The telemetry system helps the operator to prevent and fix malfunctions sending a notification when something is not working. The MatiPay app is also an interesting marketing channel for operators through which communicate with users by offering promotions and special initiatives based on the frequency and mode of use of the service.
