Mátra Biker Sport Club

Established in 2009, the Mátra Biker Sports Club (MBSC) is a highly organized, non-profit sports organization located at the foot of the Mátra Mountains in Hungary. Our mission is to support cyclists, promote the use of bicycles, and serve the local community with passion and dedication. Our members ride year-round across five cycling disciplines: MTB, Road, CX, Gravel, and Leisure & Recreation. Our goal is to transform the Mátra Mountains into one of Hungary's most physically active regions, fostering a happier, longer-living community that enjoys stronger social connections and reduced risks of chronic illnesses and health issues. MBSC has developed over 150 km of MTB cycling routes in the Mátra Mountains, located in North-East Hungary. Since September 2021, we have also been volunteering in primary schools, integrating sports into education to promote health, leisure, social inclusion, sustainable urban mobility, and greater environmental responsibility. At the annual Tour de Mátra sports festival, held on the first weekend of June since 2021, we bring together participants each year. Our international summer sports camp for children offers a unique opportunity to engage with nature and sport. Our projects benefit over 10,000 individuals annually. We are actively engaged in partnerships with local municipalities, the MATE University in Gyöngyös, and various businesses, working together to achieve common goals that enhance the region’s social and environmental well-being. Looking ahead, our sports club is eager to establish partnerships with international sports teams and clubs, welcoming them to train, compete, or even join us as members. We are also open to visiting our partners abroad for joint training sessions and competitions, and we are enthusiastic about collaborating on organizing events on a global scale. These collaborations would be particularly beneficial for our youth development discipline, providing them with international experience.
