Matworks GmbH was founded by Prof. Dr. Gerhard Schneider, Dr. Alwin Nagel and Dr. Timo Bernthaler and operate as an independent company within the Steinbeis Enterprise with a strong link to Aalen University to this day.
'Materials Engineering Solutions' means to comprehend customer tasks holistically and to solve them in a straightforward scientific and industry-oriented manner. Matworks organizes the technology transfer for innovative developments and understanding of materials and related systems. Main competences and business fields are materials for electromobility and energy technology, microscopy solutions, machine learning, characterization and failure analysis of structural and functional materials and technology consulting.
According to quality management ISO 9001:2015 following scopes are certified:
Sales, development and service provision for materials, materialography and materials testing, analysis of magnets and battery materials, software for microscope applications, machine learning, training materialography and GxP microscopy projects.
