Hungarian District Heating Association

The Association of Hungarian District Heating Enterprises was founded in 1993. Currently, the organization has more than 130 members. Members provide district heating services to appr. 95 percent of the 650 thousand apartments using district heating in Hungary. The Association is the representative body of the domestic district heating sector, embracing business entities involved in district heat supply and generation, as well as enterprises whose operations and the products and services they provide are closely associated with the district heating sector. We are member of Euroheat&Power. The Association responds sensitively to the demands of various social actors and changes in the social environment; its openness, professional competence and credibility make the organization suitable for being a key stakeholder of the domestic energy industry. By giving priority to the interests of the district heating consumers and coordinating the professional and economic interests of the district heating suppliers and service providers it has influence on the decision-making mechanisms concerning the sector and is at the forefront in the fields of innovation, energy efficiency and environmental and climate protection. The most important task of the Association of Hungarian District Heating Enterprises is to perform its activities so that its own and the members' opinions could be clearly articulated and promoted at the professional consultations concerning the district heating sector on the national and European level.
