MSP SA, plan to develop the Bofal-Loubboïra phosphate rock deposits located in southeast of Mauritania, The integrated project scope includes 3 phases:
1.Phosphate rock export, Bio-fertilizer unit in the first phase.
2.Beneficiation plant in the second phase.
3.DAP/NPK plant as well as accompanying chemicals plants of SA, PA, in the third phase.
The deposit was extensively studied by various actors? The studies concluded:
- Large rock deposit (+218MT@18%P2O5)
- Average overburden 7m
- Low Level of Cadmium & Uranium
- Simple mining method (Open pit, no drilling or blasting)
