Our bean-to-cup journey begins at our 125+ year-old estate in Pollibetta, Coorg. Managed by Co-Founder and third-generation farmer, Tej Thammaiah, the 140-acre estate is meticulously overseen to ensure top-tier bean quality. Our coffee pickers, many of whom have been with the family for decades, ensure only the perfectly ripe cherries make it into our coffees. Maverick & Farmer is known for experimental coffee offerings. Our team embraces our maverick ethos, driving innovative processes such as cold-smoking, lactic acid bacteria fermentation, oak-wood fermentation, milk soothing, beer barrel aging, honey sun-drying, yeast-enzyme processing, and natural fruit juice fermentation. One standout innovation is the world's first cold-smoked coffee - Ol' Smokey. This coffee is crafted by smoking half-pulped Arabica beans with wood from fallen, locally grown trees, resulting in a unique and unforgettable flavor profile.
