MAYA Grubu’nun temelleri 1949 yılında İlyas Özsüer tarafından atılmış, 1958 yılında şirketleşmiştir. İlk yıllarında iplik ve elyaf hammadde ticareti, sanayi ve çeşitli endüstri alanlarında faaliyet göstermiştir. 1970’li yıllardan itibaren gayrimenkul sektörünü ana iş kolu haline getiren MAYA Grubu; gayrimenkul geliştirme, konut, ofis, alışveriş merkezi, iş merkezi ve enerji gibi birçok alanda Türkiye’nin önde gelen geliştiricilerinden biri olarak faaliyet göstermektedir. Türkiye’de IKEA markası ile perakende sektöründe önemli bir rol üstlenmektedir.
