Maybo Australia & New Zealand

Since our inception in 1996 and expansion into Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand in 2008, Maybo has provided specialist services to organisations supporting people in health and social care, education, youth residential, intellectual disabilities and mental health services. Our contextualised training is based on an incremental approach of proactive prevention (primary), interpersonal skills (secondary) and emergency risk and post incident considerations (tertiary). Our approach is understanding the behaviours of concern, building positive relationships to reduce distress and crisis, and providing skills to calm and defuse escalating situations. Our human rights-based approach to training ensures people are treated with respect and dignity as well as ensuring their individual and unique needs are understood and being met, helping to prevent distress and improve quality of life.
