About Mayländer Wine

Bernd Mayländer began his racing career in karting in the late 1980s. He later progressed to Formula Ford, the Porsche Carrera Cup, and the original Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (DTM). In 1994, he won the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany. In 1999, he competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Porsche, finishing 2nd in class. In 2000, Mayländer won the 24 Hours Nürburgring in a Porsche 911 GT3-R and finished second in the Porsche Supercup. When the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) series resumed in 2000, he joined Mercedes-Benz again in 2001 and won the final DTM race of the season at the old Hockenheim circuit. Since 2000, Bernd has been the official Formula One Safety Car Driver, a role he has proudly held for over two decades. In 2021, Bernd fulfilled his dream of becoming a winemaker and has been curating his wines in close cooperation with Daniel Kuhnle from the Kuhnle winery in Strümpfelbach and recipient of the region’s ‘Young Winemaker of the Year.’ Bernd is thrilled to bring his passion for wine to the world, offering a true gift for wine lovers, fans, and collectors alike. Produced with great care and dedication, these wines embody a legacy of excellence in every drop.
