Mazedonia Design Studio

Mazedonia Design is a product design and development studio based in Donostia, a Basque city in Northern Spain. Currently, the studio is formed by the engineers Ainhoa Garmendia and Gorka Sánchez. As a design studio, Mazedonia offers creative product development solutions specific to the circular economy. Regarding education, it promotes creative workshops about plastic recycling and the Precious Plastic community. As adjunct professors, we teach subjects on design and materials at the universities of Tecnun - Universidad de Navarra, IED Kunsthal and IE University. The regeneration of matter through design, disassembly, making hidden production processes visible or the transparent communication of humble efforts are the driving forces behind Mazedonia's search and development. All this without ceasing to fill our work tables with fun, plasticity and colour. Mazedonia Donostiako diseinu eta produktu garapeneko estudioa da, Ainhoa Garmendia eta Gorka Sánchez ingeniariek eratzen dute. Diseinu estudio gisa, Mazedoniak ekonomia zirkularraren berezko produktuak garatzeko irtenbide sortzaileak eskaintzen ditu. Hezkuntza arloan, material birziklatuekin sormena lantzeko lantegiak dinamizatzen ditu, Precious Plastic bezalako komunitateak oinarri gisa erabiliz. Bereziki plastikoa birziklatuz produktuak sortzen dira lantegi hauentan. Irakasle gisa, diseinu eta materialen irakasgaiak ematen ditugu Tecnun - Nafarroako Unibertsitatean, IED Kunsthal eta IE Unibertsitatean. Mazedoniaren bilaketa eta garapen motorrak honako hauek dira: materia diseinuaren bidez birsortzea, desmuntagarritasuna, ezkutuko ekoizpen-prozesuak ezagutarazi edota komunikazio gardena egitea. Hori guztia dibertsioak, plastikotasunak eta koloreak gure lan-mahaiak betetzeaz utzi gabe.
