Institute of Management Studies (previously known as Faculty of Management Studies), Banaras Hindu University is one of the prominent B-school in India providing the 2 year degree of MBA since 1968. Earlier it was only providing degree in only MBA ( Core) and to MBA- International Business. With the virtue of time it was realised the importance to have separate nursery of MBA Graduates to serve the Agriculture and allied sector of the country. To fulfil the need of this a 2-year (four semester) MBA (Agribusiness) Course came into force from the academic session 2006-2007. In the view of the inter-disciplinary nature of the course it was decided to run it in Rajeev Gandhi South Campus of Banaras Hindu University, Barakachcha, Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh. MBA is all about management of available limited resources and giving best from it. Since the location of BHU-RGSC is far from the city and located on a plateau it faces some challenges also. And from here only the real learning of MBA come into play. From the very 1st day of the campus life the students starts to face and overcome the challenges and learn the real life situation handling. From the pass out of very 1st batch in 2008 it is continuously giving contribution in the building of nation as the students from here are serving the nation by performing different roles. For being part of this immense MBA (Agribusiness) course one have to qualify the entrance taken by NTA and then have to go through the GDPI and then finally the deserving ones are allowed for being part of this.
