Mitsui & Co., India Pvt Ltd. is the local arm of Mitsui & Co., one of the largest global trading and investment companies with a robust international network spanning 66 countries. Since Mitsui opened its first branch office in India in 1955, we have grown, evolved, and diversified, to become active across various sectors including mobility, infrastructure, chemicals, iron & steel, mineral & metals, energy, food, retail, healthcare and ICT. Along the way, we are proud to have contributed to India’s growth, by partnering for major resource projects, setting up manufacturing businesses, and even working on some of the nation’s biggest infrastructure projects like the Dedicated Freight Corridors of Indian Railway. We continuously adapt and innovate to meet India’s changing needs. In recent years we ventured into new businesses catering to consumers in lifestyle, healthcare, FMCG, retail and food & beverages. Sustainability is another key focus. We are developing solar projects, bringing electricity to some of the country’s most remote pockets, and coming full circle, we are contributing actively to the development of an Electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem in India.
