MBM CONSEIL started operating in 2000 as an unincorporated association under the name of "Mbalanda & Deo August" in acronym "MDA". In January 2008, the Founding Partner with his two partners decided to incorporate a civil company of professional lawyers named “MBM-CONSEIL Sca” making of it the first law firm to be incorporated as a professional registered Company practicing law in the Democratic Republic of Congo. MBM is organized into three independent and complementary Departments, in addition to administration, offering services tailored to specific client requests, namely: 1. Advisory (including legal advice and corporate secretary services); 2. Litigation (including all the litigation matters & arbitration); and 3. Tax & immigration services. The purpose was to adapt to globalization by accessing to best international and professional practices and by anticipating the entrance of the Democratic Republic of Congo in the OHADA’s space. This strategic decision has produced results to date. We use knowledge and experience as a mean to achieve efficiency and excellence in the provision of our services. Our team and staff members represent our most valuable asset. Together, they provide to the clients not just quality services but with dignity, discretion and respect for each and every individual, the bar ethical rules and international standards. MBM-CONSEIL is headquartered in Kinshasa and has offices in the heart of the mining provinces namely Lubumbashi (province of Haut-Katanga) and Kolwezi (province of Lualaba), and a liaison office in Johannesburg (Republic of South Africa), as well as partnerships with several international law firms based in London, Lisbon, Paris, South Africa and the USA. MBM CONSEIL has 23 lawyers and 7 experts working has permanent staff.
