mCash is a mobile wallet eco-system that was conceptualized by the national mobile service provider, SLT-Mobitel: licensed to operate as a service provider of payment cards in terms of the service providers of Payment Cards Regulation no.01 of 2009 issued under the Payment and Settlement System Act No.28 of 2005, CBSL. mCash was launched in 2013 capitalizing the telecommunication infrastructure to conveniently, instantly & securely enable financial transactions using a mobile first eco-system. SLT-Mobitel embarked on the journey of providing financial services in the country allowing the entire financial industry to benefit from its core competitive advantages such as the largest Customer reach & Biller network and largest island wide coverage through its distribution network enabling digital financial inclusion to every Sri Lankan. mCash offers services such as Mobile Money Customer Wallets, Biller Collection Management Solutions, LankaQR Payments, Agency Banking services, Reloads & Bill Payments, Utility & Institute Payments, Fund Transfers and various Co-branded Products and Services. mCash is further expanded into innumerable Fintech and B2B solutions offering to fuel the Fin-tech industry's growth.
