Moot Court Committee (AMU-CM)

The Department of Law at Aligarh Muslim University Centre Murshidabad is renowned for its lively and dynamic mooting culture, catering to a diverse student body of around 300 individuals. Leading this vibrant atmosphere is the AMU Centre Murshidabad Moot Court Committee, a student-driven initiative supported by faculty mentors. Rooted in its mission is the cultivation of students' skills in mooting and advocacy, fostering a profound understanding of their significance in future professional pursuits. Established in 2022 as a non-profit student organization, the Committee is dedicated to nurturing a lasting legacy that promotes active engagement and excellence in legal spheres across various platforms. At its heart, the MCC serves as a dedicated nexus for students to refine their advocacy prowess, offering opportunities for practice and enhancement. To realize its goals, the Committee hosts regular training programs and workshops aimed at honing students' drafting and argumentation skills, preparing them for competitive endeavors like Moot Court and Advocacy. Internally, it coordinates moot court competitions involving both faculty and student participation, while also facilitating students' participation in national and international moot court events. Through these initiatives, the MCC aims to equip aspiring lawyers with the requisite tools and confidence to thrive in the legal profession.
