The SDF is the result of cooperation between Cameroon and the World Bank, and aims to improve equitable access to the skills development system. With a budget of USD 40 million, the SDF is being implemented through 3 windows: 1) Window 1 will support the improvement of the quality and relevance of training programmes in at least 26 public institutions (16 for MINESEC, 08 for MINEFOP, 01 for MINEPIA and 01 for MINADER) and 07 private technical or vocational training institutions. 2) Window 2 will organise ongoing training for 1,100 workers in support of the competitiveness and productivity of small and medium-sized enterprises in the formal sector, mainly in the construction and public works, digital, agro-industry and energy sectors. Other priority sectors of the economy with expressed skills needs are also concerned. 500 young apprentices will be placed and supervised in the various companies selected. 3) Window 3 will build the capacity of players in the social and informal economy (associations, very small enterprises, cooperatives, common interest groups, trade unions representing workers in the informal economy, etc.) in all sectors of activity, including the craft industry.
