Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited (MCF) is a leading manufacturer of chemical fertilizers (largest in the state) with an annual production capacity of 6,91,000 MT, situated at Mangalore, Karnataka, India. MCF is a subsidiary of Zuari Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited, an Adventz group company, led by the Chairman, Mr. Saroj Kumar Poddar, with a shareholding of 54.03%. Company’s wide range of products are marketed under the popular brand of "Mangla-Jai Kissan", which include Urea, Di-Ammonium Phosphate, Muriate of Potash, Granulated Fertilizers, Micronutrients, Soil Conditioners and Specialty Fertilizers & Nutrient products consisting of Water Soluble Fertilizers, Micronutrients & Soil Conditioners. Additionally, Ammonium Bi-Carbonate (ABC) - Food grade, Sulphuric Acid and Sulphonated Naphthalene Formaldehyde (SNF) are produced as other industrial products. While fertilizers and Plant Nutrient products are marketed in Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra, the food grade ABC used mainly in Confectionery Industry and SNF used in the construction industry, are marketed Pan India as well as in the international market. The requirement of power for the production facility (process plants) is met by a Captive Power Plant. Ammonia & Phosphoric Acid, the raw materials required for DAP & NP production are imported.
