At McGeary Cukor LLC, we represent clients in a variety of intellectual property (IP) practice areas, including patent-specific services and IP litigation. Our attorneys offer a wide range of patent-specific services, including: Inter Partes Review (IPR) consulting and representation; patent infringement and validity studies; drafting and filing of provisional, utility, and design applications; and patent prosecution and issuance in the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). In addition, we are able to advise our clients and represent their interests on foreign national, regional, and Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) filings. Our patent attorneys have extensive technological expertise. We have worked on many hundreds of software, electrical, and mechanical patent applications. We also have advanced degrees in engineering. Previously, we had engineering careers in research and development. This type of educational and work experience enables us to understand better the challenges that our clients face and the environments in which they operate. Our trial attorneys are lead trial counsel for intellectual property cases and are also the attorneys who actually do the work. In other words, we are not those lawyers who show up for the pitch, hand a client’s matter off to a senior associate, and then show up for trial. We take fewer cases and work personally on every case we take. We also understand budgeting in litigation. Having worked as plaintiffs’ contingency counsel for a long enough time, we know how long something really takes, what it really costs, and if it is really worth it.
