McLennan County Health Services oversees the County Indigent Health Care Program (CIHCP), Case Management, Jail Medical Claims and the Pauper Cremation program. Chapter 61 of the Health and Safety Code is intended to ensure that residents who do not qualify for other state or federal health care assistance programs receive health care services through CIHCP. Chapter 694.002 of the Health and Safety Code provides for the disposition of the body of a deceased pauper through the pauper cremation program.
