McKafka Development Groups is a real estate investment firm specializing in the acquisition of distressed properties by purchasing broken condominiums in default, loans in default and real estate owned bank properties in South Florida. Mckafka Development Group stemmed from a Harvard University Graduate School of Design relationship between a pair of respected developers from two different parts of the world. In 2009, Fernando Levy Hara and Stephan Gietl seized an opportunity and acquired distressed property throughout different regions of South Florida stretching from Downtown Miami to Fort Lauderdale. For the past four years they have positioned themselves in the real estate market as real estate pioneers. Mckafka Development Group has purchased in excess of $50 million in distressed land and standing inventory in South Florida since their inception; including 62-distressed units at Las Olas by the River in Fort Lauderdale and 120 units at Gallery Art in Downtown Miami. Mckafka Development Group has successfully purchased and sold 400 units to international buyers. Mckafka’s next venture takes them to the heart of the current real estate boom of South Florida, the Biscayne Corridor, where they will soon reveal a high class waterfront development.
