MCT has its roots in port services, established in the early
80’s to provide the full range of port services initially for the
port of Thessaloniki, Greece.
By early 2000, the company grew organically in fleet size and
operations, with consistently positive economic indexes,
thus becoming the regional market leader in that sector.
The acquisition of the first offshore vessels, AHT and AHTS
for operations in Black Sea and West Africa in 2002 was the
beginning of the build up of the offshore expertise and
operational excellence of MCT.
The company has secured over the last 20 years noteworthy
contracts with Petrobras (still ongoing contract for one AHTS
unit) ENI, ADNOC, QatarGas, Petrobel, among some of
them, and contractors such as Saipem and SAROST, while
securing over 300 international towages and being actively
involved in Salvage, Assistance Operations and Wreck
Removals.
