Muslim Cultural & Welfare Association Of Sutton (Mcwas) company information, Employees & Contact Information

The Muslim Cultural & Welfare Association of Sutton (MCWAS) was established in 1981 by the late Mr Lal Hussain MBE, former Mayor of the London Borough of Sutton, to serve the needs of the local Muslim community. Over the past 40 years, MCWAS has expanded and improved the physical infrastructure available to our community. From the early beginnings of praying Jumu’ah in congregation at the British Polio Fellowship Hall, then progressing to praying Tarawih in Robin Hood Lane we then finally moved to our current location at Wentworth Hall in 1996, which was refurbished in 2013 into a multi-purpose centre to serve the needs of the community. The prayer hall is ideal for worship and contemplation whilst the hall upstairs facilitates space for learning and social activities.
