Urban lab and think tank based in Medellín, Colombia. MDE - Urban Lab is a network of experts on various issues related to urban transformations and their connections with the ecological, the social and the economic. With extensive experience in the territory, coming from the interaction in society, the government, the academy, the industry; among others. MDE - Urban Lab addresses the trend of an increasing population concentration in cities, the complexity that arises as a result of the change in urban scale, the uncertainty associated with the lack of knowledge and experience and the awareness of growth limits determined by resource factors, technological capacity, social organization, culture, governance, etc. MDE Urban Lab is a workshop laboratory that proposes experiences based on elements of theory and praxis; understanding the city as a complex adaptive system, with a focus on proposals for disruptive and innovative solutions to tackle the largest scale and the paradigms that impose global change in urban environments.
