About MDS UK Patient Support Group

MDS UK is a support group for all those affected by rarer blood cancer Myelodysplastic Syndromes. We offer patient meetings with specialist speakers, distribute information, offer support, raise awareness of MDS with health professionals, politicians, health authorities. We lobby for access to treatment and better quality of life for patients and caregivers. Current Chair:Tony Allen Acting CEO: Debbie Hickman Immediate past chair: Ted Peel (now Patron) We work with the UK MDS specialist research group of the British Society for Haematology and were co-founders of the MDS Alliance, the international umbrella group for all national MDS patient support groups. We are members of the Blood Cancer Alliance and Cancer 52 groups. We are a charitable organisation with no funding other than donations, fundraising and grants from individuals and companies.
