"If the artist is a social entrepreneur, their art is an inevitable catalyst for development: it knows no man, no borders, yet it has the ultimate power to educate, liberate, and connect." Middle-Eastern Artists for Development (MEAD) is an initiative that focuses on the pivotal importance of art in the creation, evolution and the development of our societies in the region of Middle East and North Africa (MENA). We bring together artists of all disciplines to highlight the recent developments within the MENA region as well as in their widely spread-out diaspora. MEAD is an advocate of development, education and peace throughout the region, and drives to foster dialogue between the respective countries through their unique created art.
