Meadow Interpreting is a Deaf-led organisation dedicated to empowering the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community through accessible communication services. Founded by Jessica Pettican, a profoundly Deaf individual with over 20 years of experience in the Deaf community and more than 10 years in the interpreting industry, we understand the unique challenges faced by our community. Our services span across the UK and include: British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreting: Providing qualified interpreters for various settings, including legal, medical, educational, and community engagements. Deaf Relay Interpreting: Specialising in BSL/Intralingual (Deaf Relay) interpreting to bridge communication gaps for individuals with specific or complex language needs. Translation Services: Offering professional translation for documents and websites to ensure accessibility. Deaf Awareness Training (DAT): Conducting bespoke workshops to foster inclusive environments in workplaces, schools, and public services. Continuous Professional Development (CPD): Supporting interpreters and communication professionals with relevant training to enhance their skills and knowledge. Our team comprises freelance interpreters who are NRCPD registered, DBS checked, and adhere to the NRCPD code of conduct, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism.
