Measuring Carbon

Carbon emission data is critical for tackling climate change and meeting net-zero goals. But drawing insights from emissions data can be complicated. We are building tools to analyze carbon data in an easy and accessible manner. Satellite data can directly measure carbon emissions at high spatial and temporal resolutions. However, the data is in silos, and researchers need significant expertise to derive insights that enable decision-making. This is where Measuring Carbon comes in. We collate satellite measurements of carbon emissions from disparate sources and link them to other observables such as land use, land cover, wildfires, and urban build-up. Our open data platform allows public audits of carbon emissions at high spatial and temporal resolutions.
