"It can be scary to start counselling, especially thinking about sharing your stories and experiences with a stranger while being vulnerable. Recognizing that you need help and taking the first step is the most important thing you can do for yourself and the people who care about you. As a counsellor, I believe in developing a good rapport with my clients to understand them better and to improve our therapeutic relationship. I believe in meeting the client where they are, I will not force you to talk about something you’re not ready to do. There is power in talking. Finding a therapist with whom you, as a client, can feel comfortable talking and connecting is very important. Together we will focus on what matters and eliminate the rest."
