Mecaprom was founded in 1960 as a development company for automotive engineering and prototyping. The company is present in 9 countries with 12 operating units. In Italy Mecaprom operates in Turin, Imola, Arese and Penta (Salerno). Mecaprom is a company that operates in the domestic and International market as a leader in the development of powertrain and drive-line systems. Engines and transmissions have always been the pole of attraction of our best resources: the core of an international group that has been able to develop meaningful innovations to achieve the highest levels of excellence in design and realization. The solutions and the conceptual proposals are made on the basis of inputs provided by customers, the reference standards of the final product, bearing in mind the reduction of costs and time-to-market. Mecaprom customers’ portfolio include major automotive industry leaders who operate globally, such as Audi, FCA, GM, GM-Autovaz, Iveco, Mahindra, Piaggio. Mecaprom is able to offer a complete know-how regarding road vehicles engines and transmissions, as well as on-board and static energy management systems, producing concept of complete engines and driveline groups, designing the integration layout of full powertrain systems on vehicle chassis, designing and producing hybrid electric power units including control electronics and full advanced Battery Management System, building experimental equipment such as flow box or experimental components derived from the overall standard and implemented thanks to the EDM technology. Mecaprom operates using highly qualified staff, such as mechanical engineers, aerospace and electronic and of considerable personal experience while recording an average age under 30 years. To carry out its activities of design Mecaprom relies on the use of advanced software such as UG Siemens, Catia V5, CanAlyzer, Matlab full suite, Etas Inca, as well as dSpace HIL platforms.
