The Mexican Platform for CO2 Capture and Storage “MeCCS” is a collaborative project of the University of Edinburgh and the National Laboratory of Sustainability Sciences (LANCIS), IE-UNAM, sponsored by the Scottish Alliance for Geoscience, Environment & Society ( SAGES) and the UK CCS Research Center (UKCCSRC). MeCCS is designed as a site where different actors from government, industry, academia and civil society can learn more about Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technology in Mexico and the contributions it can have for sustainable development and the reduction of emissions atmospheric CO2.
