In 1972, Andrew R. Ebert, II and his partner Martin Manion founded Meco Constructors, Inc. (The combination of their names Manion Ebert Company evolved into MECO). Meco started out in a small garage with a few pieces of equipment. Over the next 30 years, with Andy’s entrepreneurial spirit, leadership and determination, Meco Constructors grew steadily to become a large-scale, full-service construction contractor with over 130 employees and more than 250 pieces of equipment. Meco has become a major site development and heavy highway construction contractor throughout the Mid-Atlantic states with patents and techniques that are employed by major contractors around the country.
