med_hack Melbourne is Victoria's premiere medical innovation community. We aim to foster multidisciplinary and industry collaboration to improve healthcare for patients through the latest developments in technology.
Our first event is med_hack, a hackathon which aims to bring together teams of professionals and students from the fields of medicine, engineering, IT, business and design to collaborate in teams of 4-6 and create innovative healthcare projects within 48 hours. Promising projects will be provided with the opportunity to pitch a pilot to hospitals and health services in 2017. We are fortunate enough to be supported by the Department of Health and Human Services, Monash University, the University of Melbourne, Alfred Health, Monash Health, Thomson Reuters, the Foundation for Young Australians, STC Australia and Global Ideas.
