The state of the healthcare industry using 3 simple pain points: 1. Prior to COVID (January 2019), the U.S. healthcare industry was already experiencing workforce shortages for 2 decades (>20 years). 2. Post COVID (August 2023), 32% of the healthcare workforce left the industry entirely. 3. Presently (Q4 2024), a Forbes industry survey (Q2 2023) found of the remaining employed healthcare workforce, 40% plan to leave in 2025. Focusing on only (points 2 & 3), suggests 72% of the healthcare workforce has, or is in the process, of leaving the industry.
