MedCardApps AB was established in 2011 in Malmö, Sweden. The company develops and delivers a complete Electronic Health Record (EHR) solution. The solution is especially designed for African conditions and suitable for all types of healthcare facilities in that and similar markets.
MedCardApps' first market was Uganda as Mr. Phillip Kilara, the Managing Director and an IT-specialist, originally is from Uganda and he saw how the amount of paperwork in Ugandan healthcare sector took time from the treating of patients. This inspired the development of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) solution especially designed for the African market.
Today the company has personnel in Sweden, Uganda and Zambia and the system is successfully in use at several medical facilities large and small, public and private in both countries.
