MedEwise is a health informatics company focussed on building an integrated health solutions and social platform with a suite of products. Product MedEkid is a platform that will allow comprehensive health information to be maintained for children through multiple channels - parents, paediatricians and hospitals. This will allow parents to retrieve important documents and medical records on demand. This will give single click access to paediatricians to complete health history of a child which will enable the paediatricians to take more informed decisions. Additionally, we are leveraging the power of mobile computing and analytics to provide a social platform for key stakeholders to engage and provide optimal and timely care for children with a special focus on preventive care. As mothers, we have often sought a support group of parents whose children are suffering from same or related illnesses. This need is often addressed through informal Whatsapp groups where mothers post their health related queries. We aim to use analytics and related technologies such as geolocation to provide a managed platform where a wider network of parents can form relevant and focused communities and support groups. We are working with leading paediatricians and children's hospitals to build a product suite that fills the gap in the patient health record (PHR) space in India. We are exploring partnerships with established channels to reach out to maximum number of child clinics and hospitals. We believe that we will be able to create a valuable database which can be mined for valuable epidemiological insights. Our vision is to use the technology infrastructure to eventually reach out to rural caregivers and empower them to provide quality care in remote areas.
