Postscript is a new media platform that offers the best of American and Western investigative journalism, long-form journalism, analysis and commentary, translated and made available in several languages.
The project was started when Russia invaded Ukraine and the remnants of the Russian free media institutions ceased to exist due to government persecution.
Postscript was created by a group of volunteers at Harvard as an initiative to translate and make available to Russian-speaking readers the outstanding reporting on the Russian-Ukrainian war by leading U.S. publications such as the Washington Post and the New York Times. These leading U.S. publications have produced unparalleled coverage of the conflict.
It was important to share the truth about the war in Ukraine with the Russian-speaking public, and that was the main goal of the project. Initially, the translated articles were published by our media partners. In March, 2023, we launched a separate media project that provides the best of American journalism in Russian. In the future we plan to create Ukrainian, Polish, Hungarian, Turkish and other editions of Postscript.
Since its launch, Postscript has diversified and now offers a wide range of content on politics, international affairs, business and science.
