MediaSift has always been about big data problems focused around curation, storage and analytics. This first came about when we created tweetmeme.com and handled billions of Tweets being sent through Twitter, ranking and analysing them. Since then we started looking beyond just Twitter to a wider range of real time data services and feeds. Thus DataSift was born, the first real time content curation and filtering platform.
